The Wine:
In Italian, Intrada refers to the entrance or prelude to a musical suite. Conceived as an introduction to Cardinale’s Cabernet Sauvignon program, Intrada is a Bordeaux-style Sauvignon Blanc blend sourced from four clones selected for their expression of floral, citrus, and herbal aromatics.
The fruit is sourced from the Cardinale Estate and the nearby Longwood Vineyard, located several miles to the south. Depending on vintage conditions, a small percentage of Sémillon is incorporated into the blend to add structure, mid-palate weight, and a subtle oily texture. Fermentation and élevage are conducted in a combination of vessels to preserve freshness while building length and complexity.
